Job Overview:
We are seeking an eager and willing Veterinary Technician assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position is entry level for learning and gaining knowledge in the veterinary industry. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarian technicians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the veterinary facility
