Clear Smiles Dental is Hiring a Dental Treatment Coordinator/Insurance coordinator Near Margate, FL

Responsible for greeting all patients with genuine enthusiasm and warmth upon arrival and over the phone, performing check-in procedures, scheduling & confirming appointments, coordinating patient services, collecting fees, and biding patients farewell as they leave. Provides pleasant and courteous customer service to all callers and patients, at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

  • Greets patients, ascertains purpose of visit, and confirms or updates demographics and insurance in computer system.
  • Checks in and out patients in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Verifies eligibility for all appointments, obtains proof of insurance eligibility, makes copies of picture ID, and of front/back of insurance card.
  • Directly responds to questions, provides guidance to patients and anticipates patient needs; accountable for their comfort.
  • Collects co-payments from patients.
  • Courteously answers calls, forwards to the appropriate team member and accurately document's messages.
  • Schedules, cancels and reschedules regular, missed and follow-up appointments; Schedules patient transportation as needed.
  • Calls and confirms appointments; unconfirmed for the day of and for the following day; Conducts follow-up calls as needed to check on patients.
  • Files, scans, copies, retrieves and email/delivers dental records according to HIPPA standards.
  • Tracks incoming and outgoing packages/parcels and mail.
  • Provides a wide variety of administrative and operational support for other team members as needed.
  • Responsible for reception area; light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glass door and ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly.
  • Maintains a clean, well-stocked, safe environment for patients and staff. Keeps patient care and utility areas neat and clean.
  • Ensures that all HIPAA/ OSHA standards are in compliance.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Participates in departmental and organizational quality management activities.
  • Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies.
  • Attends departmental meetings as required.
  • Effectively manage special projects and other tasks as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS (including, but not limited to):

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer support capacity in a dental practice.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish/Portugese)
  • Working knowledge of dental terminology and dental office settings.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a reliable team player committed to working in a quality and customer-centric environment. Will require daily interaction in person, on the phone, and via email in order to perform the job.
  • Superior customer service skills: demonstrate responsiveness, depth of knowledge and thoroughness in handling and responding to inquiries from patients and team members.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, flexible, with a professional “can-do” attitude.
  • Excellent listening comprehension, oral communication, and written communication skills and the ability to interact in a tactful and positive manner.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions precisely and keen attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English. Bilingual - Spanish is a plus.

We are a well-established dental office with a wonderful staff that needs to add a member due to our growing need for a full-time position. We are looking for a motivated team player and someone with excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

1. Energetic, motivated, professional team player

2. Bilingual (English/Spanish)

3.1 year experience in dentistry (Dentrix software experience a plus but no required )

5. Multi-tasking and efficiency.
