Clayton Youth Enrichment is currently recruiting for a Part time Early Childhood teacher/floater

Clayton Youth Enrichment is Tarrant Countys largest, on-site, youth enrichment provider. The non-profit agency serves 7,000 children and families annually through its after school and other out-of-school time enrichment programs.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Floater is responsible for assisting full-time teachers with classroom duties, as well as assisting center director with admininstrative responsibilities as needed.The floater will work in all classrooms throughout the day, as needed, including infants through preschool (ages 6 weeks through 5 years)
• Move between classrooms to offer support to all teachers as needed, for ages 6 weeks through 5 years old
• In the event a teacher is absent, the floater may be asked to take over a classroom and implement the lesson plans that day
• Responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of program directives which meet agency and regulatory standards.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment for children ages 6 weeks through 4 years old
• Assist teachers with planning and providing children with developmentally appropriate activities and experiences with a good balance between free choice and planned activities
• Assist with implementing lesson plan sheets weekly
• Establish positive interpersonal relationships among all individuals in the program
• Provide constant visual supervision of all children
• Consider each child in relation to his/her cultural and socioeconomic background, treating each child with dignity and respect
• Record daily attendance and activities of children, including meals, naps, and academic activities
• Share upkeep of facilities used by the agency
• Maintain confidentiality of parents, children and staff
• Attend staff meetings and agency training as required
• Assist with conducting program/ child assessments as required

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:

• Requires daily standing, sitting, bending and stooping (sitting will be limited to about 5% of your day)
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision
• Requires the ability to lift 40 pounds

HOURS:

• Monday through Friday 
• 5 hour shifts, 7:30am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-5:30pm

PAY:

• $14.00 - $15.00 depending on experience

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Associate Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Other requirements as required by regulatory agencies
• Minimum (3) months experience working with youth or related field
