Classic Tents & Events is Hiring an Event Administrative Specialist Near Norcross, GA

Job Description:

The Event Administrative Specialist provides full administrative support to the Event Sales Division. This position is dedicated and committed to supporting the plans, communication, and ultimate execution of details for our clients and customers.

Essential Functions

  • Provides administrative support to a fast-paced sales division
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks with accuracy
  • Manages and services all in-house sub rentals from start to finish to include detailed communication to appropriate internal teams.
  • Acts as administrative support for large events and projects
  • Manages continuation billing for all extended rentals.
  • Sources specialty item requests and maintains sub-rental procedures
  • Provides reporting in Excel and Rental Software
  • All other administrative support duties assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • This position does not supervise staff.

Work environment:

  • Most work will be indoors with limited exposure to outside elements.
  • The job requires constant interaction with the public via phone, email or in-person
  • Will work in an open office setting with other team members
  • Hours of work are 8:30am-5:00pm; additional hours may be needed as business demands dictate.

Physical demands:

  • May be required to lift occasionally and generally less than 10 lbs.

Required education and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess sales and customer-relation skills.
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel knowledge and experience is required. Training on rental software will be provided
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Ability to follow instructions and execute accordingly.
  • Reliable and dependable with attendance,
  • Follow through on assigned tasks with urgency and detail necessary.

Preferred education and experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Rental software or other system knowledge and experience.
  • Previous administrative support role a plus
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
  • Flexibility and solutions minded a plus
  • Positive team player.
  • Maintains a professional personal appearance and demeanor.

  • None
