Security Officer Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining order, protecting clients, staff, visitors and property from harassment, injury, damage, or theft and to call appropriate law enforcement agencies, when necessary.
Security Officer Job Duties:
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Ensures all duties are carried out
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
- Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Security Officer Skills, Qualifications and Preferred:
- Entry Level Surveillance Skills, Dependable, Has Integrity, Safety Management skills, Professionalism, Reporting Skills
- Highschool graduate or higher education
- Able to walk long distances
- Must have reliable transportation
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work holidays and some Overtime (on occasion)
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
