Classic Car Wash & Oil Change of Leominster, MA is in need of an Operations Manager to run the business alongside the owner of the company. The selected candidate will be responsible for day to day operations of the quick lube/repair shop and to oversee car wash operations. We are looking for someone with a positive and pleasant attitude that has a strong desire to help people and is willing to go above and beyond for our customers. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years in the automotive management field, must possess general mechanical skills and have the ability to work well with others.

Due to the nature of our business, the ramp up time is approximately 3 to 6 months of training. Once fully trained, the position pays in the 40k-60k range. The hourly rate during training is in the $20 per hour range.

Operations Manager Job summary:

• Daily opening/set up of the shop
• Greet/check in customers
• Perform oil changes and preventative maintenance service on vehicles
• Review manufacturer’s preventative maintenance recommendations with customers
• Advise customers of recommended repairs and write cost estimates
• Cash out customers
• Daily closeout
• Order stock and inventory
• Deal with vendors
• Assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have
• Help out in the car wash
• Perform emergency repairs to car wash equipment
• Lead by example and create a positive work environment for customers and employees

Qualifications
- Management experience, including supervising a team and overseeing daily operations in a retail environment
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory control, and cash register operations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Ability to effectively manage and optimize inventory levels
- Basic mechanical knowledge to understand automotive service center operations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Additional languages spoken, such as being multilingual or bilingual, is a plus
- Familiarity with recruiting, employee orientation, and payroll processes is beneficial
