Primary Role and Responsibilities for Advanced Practice Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Physician Assistant

• See up to 10 Medicine patients and review with daytime Physicians for completion
• Submit billing/reports list daily
• Physician to attest/cosign all medicine notes by APP performed as Medicine documentation
• Schedule will be Week on/Week off from 9a-5p Monday through Friday and 11a-7p on Saturday and Sunday.
• Shift differential offered on Holidays

Secondary Role and Responsibilities

• Assist with consult orders and procedure scheduling as requested by attending physician
• Able to run Rapid/Codes with or without physician (Physician always available by phone if not physically present)
• Meet with attending physician for afternoon patient review
• First call REMOTE night monitoring - will be coverage of Hampton Roads LTACH (a 25 bed facillity)
• Currently average call volume is 2-3 calls per night. APP will call in to charge nurse between 8:30p-9p and run list with the charge nurse. This call will be repeated between 5:30a-6a. Any call to the covering APP inbetween those calls should only be emergent and should only be with the charge nurse.

Board Certified NP or PA

ACLS/BLS Certified
