JOB TITLE: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

LOCATION: Hawthorne, NY (on-site)

TYPE: Full time, regular

COMPENSATION: $140,000 – $170,000/yr

Role Summary:

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of healthcare robotic systems and manufacturing operations. This role is multi-disciplinary with responsibility for designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions to protect against advanced threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical leadership experience and stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies. We are looking for a team player who views medical device development as a competitive advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Security Solutions in the areas of Network Security, Zero Trust, Endpoint Security, Data Security, Identity and Access Management
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with business goals
  • Develop security plans, policies, and procedures adhering to standards such as NIST, ISO 27001 and SOC 2
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain a security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and threat drivers
  • Design and implement controls to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive patient health information
  • Assess and analyze potential security risks and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations and developing strategies for mitigation
  • Lead incident response efforts, investigating and resolving security incidents promptly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle, device software and cloud-platforms
  • Educate staff and software team on security best practices around passwords, phishing, social engineering, and data handling
  • Stay up-to-date on healthcare cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory landscape
  • Perform any additional job-related duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Information Technology; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, securing hardware, software or medical devices
  • Knowledge of relevant security regulations such as HIPAA, SOC 2 and Medical Device Regulation
  • Knowledge of common healthcare cyberattacks like ransomware and DDoS
  • Experience with risk management frameworks and tools like threat modeling
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Software skills such as malware analysis, penetration testing, and security toolsets
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to produce polished security plans, reports, and standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
