CKD USA Corporation is Hiring an Accounting Assistant - Account Payable Near Schaumburg, IL

Description

The Accounting Assistant handles all aspects of Accounts Receivable.

Works with the accounting department, customer support and warehouse to ensure proper invoicing and payment. Maintains open communication with all departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendor.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Processing due invoices for payments.
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts.
  • Act as back up for Accounts Receivable when necessary.
  • Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • 2-3 years of billing and invoicing experience.
  • A strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
  • Attention to details.
  • Experience with Dynamics or a similar ERP system is required.
  • Good computer knowledge in Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise tact, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable with math and calculations, willing to troubleshoot problems and solve puzzles, but know when to ask for assistance.
  • Highly organized and thorough with ability to manage a high volume of accounts and detailed tasks in a deadline-driven environment required.

Education: 

  • 2-year college degree or relevant experience in an office environment.
