Title: Project Engineer
Position Summary: Provide technical support to the company supervisors and the trades to ensure construction work complies with all standards, codes, and specification.
A Project Engineer receives moderate day-to-day supervision from the Project Manager. In
this role the PE is familiar with his/her responsibilities and can perform them accurately and in
compliance with Company values and standards. The associate and Project Manager, along with
Project Executive, will meet regularly to review development to ensure progress is being
made and goals are being reached.

The associate in this role must be knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company safety manual.

education and experience:
Possess a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience. The PE averages between 2 and 6 years of experience with project cost accounting, controls and/or engineering experience related to similar facility construction.
Working environment and physical activities:
An approximate breakdown is: 75% of duties are performed in a temperature controlled, fluorescent-lighted environment. 25% of duties are performed in weather dependent, natural lighting construction work site environment. Approximately 30% of time is spent walking or standing, 10 % of time is spent bending, kneeling, or stooping, and 60% of the time is spent sitting. About 75% of time spent sitting is spent working with a computer (25% with word processing, 25% with Viewpoint, and 50% with spreadsheet programs). 50% of the workday is spent working with management and associates. 15% of the workday is spent working with outside sources. 35% of the time is spent solving problems for management and associates. Others impose 90% of deadlines and 10% are self-imposed. Some lifting between 0 –20 lbs. is required.
