CJ Drilling is Hiring an Estimator Near Swedesboro, NJ

CJ Drilling, Inc. is a nationwide, 100% women owned and operated business specializing in foundation drilling. The company was started in 2003 as a turn-key foundation drilling company with capabilities in heavy hauling, rebar cage construction, foundation drilling and concrete construction serving both utility and infrastructure industries. Our provided services today also include duct bank construction, manhole vault installations and crane rental. We continue to grow our civil construction breadth of services and add new customers every year.

Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking for a teammate to join our Utility Division that will both estimate and project manage utility civil construction jobs. The position will be out of our Swedesboro, NJ location. The project manager will manage substation civil and/or transmission foundation drilling projects.

The key responsibilities of the position include the following:

· Estimate and project manage jobs

· Review and evaluate cost estimates

· Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents

· Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents

· Identify, quantify, and communicate potential production and cost uncertainties to ensure all risks are understood and addressed

· Manage bid pricing from all vendors

· Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors

· Project Planning, scheduling, and tracking.

· Work with safety leadership and field supervision to ensure compliance with our Safety Program

· Communicating with customers and field leadership.

· Financial budgeting, ongoing processing, tracking, and reporting.

· Conduct and/or participate in post-close job reviews so that future estimates reflect lessons learned from prior jobs

The key position requirements are:

·_ Two plus years’ experience in utility civil construction estimating and/or project management_

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or extensive experience in estimating with field experience

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly verbally and in writing

· Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates

· Strong understanding of construction processes

· Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines

· Prior experience with B2W is a plus
