Summary of Position:

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining equipment on oil and gas facilities, including the identification of problems or potential problems, documentation and reporting, and repairing or replacing equipment as needed. Works under minimal supervision. Manage the flow of trouble tickets from start to completion and sign off. Perform accurate material transfer of applicable equipment and materials. Works with contractors to oversee larger projects for maintenance and retrofits. Assists in training new Maintenance Technicians.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues and maintain PM schedules.
• Perform corrective tasks including Tank Valves; Seat and Trim; Dump Controllers; Kimray Valves; Water Transfer; Pumping Unit Stuffing Box; Sump Pots; Ball Valves
• Perform major mechanical maintenance and overhauls of equipment under minimal supervision.
• Verify dimensions, specifications, and tolerances using blueprints.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair (or assist in the repair), of equipment.
• Repair or replace well site equipment per environmental compliance
• Repair or replace well site control on pneumatic equipment
• Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected
• Train newly hired and less skilled maintenance technicians.
• Provide field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences
• Maintain batteries, wells and plants to facilitate efficient production operations
• Work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, etc. – work is performed in hazardous driving and working conditions all seasons of the year.
• Operate a vehicle safely in all weather conditions to drive to oil and gas equipment located in rural/open range country.
• On job training with less experienced maintenance technicians and train Lease Operators.
• Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with all CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
• Assure work performed adheres to CIVI standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Basic computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving mechanical problems.
• Position requires operation of Company vehicles. Incumbent must meet requirements of Company Policy.
• Must be able to safely and effectively wear Self Contained Breathing equipment and work in an H2S environment.
• Capable of safely climbing stairs, ladders, fixed to various equipment during production and drilling operations.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs. and maneuver heavy objects and operate machinery.
• Proven ability to multi-task and meet stringent deadlines with a positive and helpful “can-do” attitude.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe work behavior and habits
• Ability to work independently and effectively with a diverse group.
• Work well with all field team members along with all office support needs.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Education & Experience:

• 2-4 years Oil and Gas Industry experience required.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Base Pay Range: $91,500 - $96,700
