CIVITAS RESOURCES INC is Hiring an Accounts Payable Staff Accountant Near Denver, CO

Summary of Position:

The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant performs a variety of accounts payable tasks related to the maintenance and processing for payable account records, invoices, etc. The A/P Staff Accountant is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for user setup and maintenance within OpenInvoice.
  • Assist with supplier set up in Bolo and in OpenInvoice, along with communication with Contracts team for MSA approvals.
  • Provide support for supplier enablement within OpenInvoice.
  • Assist in addressing AP Mailbox items.
  • Expense report administrator including recording employee expense transactions into Bolo.
  • Code and expense all well utility invoices.
  • Receive, research, and resolve a variety of internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate individuals.
  • Process and assist with weekly check runs, providing payment recommended report for management approval.
  • Complete Journal entries and correcting voucher entries into Bolo as necessary. 
  • Prepare manual invoice batches for payment and enter wires and EFT payments into CIVI’s Bolo Accounting System.
  • Review and code invoices in OpenInvoice and route for appropriate approval. 
  • Additional data entry assistance, as necessary.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Proficient in data entry and invoice management.
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications such as Bolo, OpenInvoice, OpenTicket, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Takes ownership of projects and responsibilities, displaying a high level of accountability and initiative.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse audiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, consistently ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling efficient planning and execution of work to meet established deadlines.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required, or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalency of on the job experience preferred.
  • AP Experience, preferably 3-5 years, O&G preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • Work is performed at a CIVI location Tues-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
  • Travel required to the Civitas field locations.

Base Pay Range$74,000 - $78,000
