SKILLED LABORER – Requires the ability to operate Hand Tools such as pipe cutters, chain saws, pumps, etc. Physical condition should allow for frequent bending, stooping, squatting, standing for extended periods of time in addition to heavy lifting. Must have experience in Construction Trenching and be willing to become certified as a Competent Person.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR SKILLED LABORER:
- Perform manual physical labor at highway and heavy construction projects.
- May operate hand and power tools to prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support excavations, erect scaffolding and cleaning and removal of debris and waste.
- Hauling, hoisting of materials.
- Excavating and filling trenches of ditches.
- Work is done in variable weather conditions including heat & humidity and may be on uneven, unpaved surfaces.
All positions require your own transportation to and from jobsites which vary within the Metro Nashville area and surrounding counties. All positions are full-time and commonly a 6 day work week Monday-Saturday. This position is non-exempt positions. Estimated annual salary is $45,000 to $55,000 based on experience.
