We are looking for a part time theatrical technician to join the backstage team at Civic Center Music Hall and the Hudiburg Chevrolet Center.This position is responsible for the skilled supervision and operation of theatrical equipment, professional and volunteer staff, regular maintenance, and other related assigned duties. The position requires utilization of previously acquired knowledge of the operation and maintenance of theatrical systems and components including but not limited to theatrical lighting and sound.

• Knowledge of lighting design, stage setting design and sound reproduction and reinforcement.
• Knowledge of and skill in operating, repairing and maintaining complex lighting, audio and staging equipment.
• Skill in the use of tools and equipment used in the theater.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards of the theater and appropriate precautionary measures.
• Skill in verbal and written communication, using tact and diplomacy.
• Ability and willingness to work long and irregular hours.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of attention in order to prevent injury to self and others.
• Ability to analyze situations and take effective actions.
• Ability to train others in the performance of staging functions.
• Ability to learn new and varied technical stage systems.
• Other duties as assigned

• Associates Degree in Technical Theater Production or related field or minimum of 3years related practical experience
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience over stage crews
• Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of theatrical facility and staging equipment
• Experience with Outlook and Microsoft Office

• Ability to lift 60 lbs
• Subject to working irregular work hours and varied work weeks, including weekends and holidays
