Position Summary
The FacilityMaintenance Associate is responsible for performing miscellaneous maintenanceand repairs including but not limited to carpentry, electrical, and plumbingtasks, and support activities related to the entire property and allsurrounding outdoor areas.
MinimumQualifications
● 2 years experience in a facilitiesmaintenance or repair-work role and/or equivalent relevant experience
● Prior experience with lightcarpentry, electrical, and plumbing repair
● Abilityto handle high volume work-load and meet deadlines
● Working knowledge of health regulations,sanitation procedures and ability to safely operate equipment
● Strong work ethic, team player, andexceptional guest service skills
● Effective communicationand interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationshipswith people in the scope of employment
● Aptitude to resolveproblems
● Polished presentation
● Ability to take direction from others
● Ability to work both independently and in ateam environment
● Ability to work a flexible schedule includingdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
● Ability to perform physical requirements ofthe role including standing/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling,pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.
Overview of Responsibilities
● Regularly monitor interior and exterior of thebuilding and outdoor areas, perform any necessary cleaning, maintenance, carpentry,repair work, and communicate any/all areas that may need attention to theGeneral Manager
● Daily floor cleaning with special attention toentrance, cafe, tasting room and patios.
● Conducta daily walkthrough of all spaces to ensure all areas are in clean, safe, andpresentable condition and in compliance with the Company’s standards, hygiene,food safety and sanitation, and board of health regulations
● Handle maintenance/cleanliness issues in a timelymanner and communicate to General Manager when applicable
● Meticulously inspect, clean and stock all restroomsverifying that everything is properly functioning.
● Inspect all lighting fixtures interior as well asexterior
● Inspect outside grounds for cleanliness, safety andsecurity
● Ensure plantings and lawns are weed free and watered
● Routine paint and touchup of halls and bathrooms
● Snow removal of walkways and entrances
● Coordinate all ordering of supplies with GeneralManager
● Attend meetings and trainings as needed
● Follow all company policies, procedures, andguidelines including being ready to work at scheduled shift time, in uniform,with neat and presentable appearance.
● Perform all other reasonably assigned projectsand duties.
