Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide basic grooming services, such as bathing and nail trimming
- Educate pet owners on proper care and nutrition for their animals
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
Requirements:
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience with animal restraint and handling
- Familiarity with aseptic technique in a veterinary setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
