Position: Group Practice Manager - San Francisco Bay Area

United Veterinary Care is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our team as a Group Practice Manager supporting multiple hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As a Group Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring hospital Practice Managers to uphold our Gold Standard of Care and achieve the Greatest Client Experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Support and partner with area hospital Practice Managers and Medical Directors to provide high-quality pet care and unmatched client experiences.
  • Oversee training and development of teams in partnership with Practice Managers and Regional Learning & Development managers.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and regional support on recruitment strategies, including hiring, onboarding, and employee retention.
  • Develop annual planning, budgeting, and goals for hospital productivity, including continuous development of KPIs, increasing average transactions, and driving visits.
  • Ensure area hospitals comply with employment laws and regulations.
  • Partner with Regional HR to coach, mentor, and, if necessary, discipline and terminate team members.
  • Work with the Resource Optimization team on inventory management and determining appropriate pricing.
Qualifications:
  • Leadership: Dedication to the advancement of veterinary medicine with a strong emphasis on team building and staff development.
  • Decision Making: Ability to make decisive decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Capacity to handle pressure and setbacks, viewing challenges as opportunities to grow.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in veterinary operations management preferred. Experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and/or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) is ideal, but not required. SHRM-CP, BS, MBA, or other advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Travel: This position will require frequent travel to area hospitals.
