The City of Wilton Manors is currently accepting applications for the position of police cadet. As a non-certified police cadet, selected applicants will prepare to become a certified sworn law enforcement officer at a regional police academy. The City will pay for the cost of the approximately 7-month academy in addition to paying the selected candidates an hourly rate of $23.20 and full-time employee benefits such as health, dental, and life insurances and pension benefits.
After successful completion of the police academy and obtaining a passing score on the State of Florida exam for law enforcement certification, certified police officers will earn a minimum annual salary of at least $61,715.
