Utility Worker I
Summary: Under direct supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the construction, installation, maintenance, renewal and repair of City water, wastewater, and gas structures and systems

Disabilities Act, may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position- specific tasks.
Assists in the maintenance and minor repair of sanitary lift stations and water pump stations. * Assists in the removal, replacement and repair of old pipe and the laying of new pipelines, mains, services, meters, valves and hydrants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses:
Collection and Treatment certificates. You must obtain one grade within 18 months. * Obtainment of the following trainings within 18 months of hire: of Low-High Density Poly Fusion
Additional Certifications will need to be received within 18 months.
Gas Pipe Certification, Operator Qualification in Pipeline Safety, Natural Gas Leak SurveyTraining, S.C.B.A. Training Confined Spaces, Trench Safety Training, Competent Person Certification and Training, Forklift Operator, and become a Certified Flagger
