The City of Vacaville is currently recruiting to fill Recreation Specialist I within the Parks & Recreation Department. 
Adult and Youth SportsFacilitating and providing support for youth and adult sports activities and leagues
Adaptive RecreationFacilitating programs for individuals with disabilities
ConcessionsTaking food orders and operating food preparation equipment
FacilitiesPerform facility, site and equipment set-up and take down (works nights and weekends)
GymnasticsSupport staff with coaching programs and activities
Special EventsOrganizing and directing event activities for the Vacaville community
Youth ServicesSupport the TGIF program, youth events, and summer camps

 For a complete job description, please visit our website at www.cityofvacaville.com.Part-time positions are paid an hourly rate and can work up to a maximum of 129 hours per month. Some positions may require working irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Part-time positions are at-will, are not eligible for health or retirement benefits, and do not accrue leave time with the exception of State-mandated sick leave 
(40 hours per year).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: None required.
Experience: None required. Some related work experience is desirable, such as working in a recreation or sports environment with the public of any age, working with youth, or providing customer service and cash handling.
License or Certificate: Select positions may require the possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record as conditions of initial and continued employment. Must be at least 18 years of age if required to drive vehicles for City business.
Select positions may require the ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificates within 30 days of hire.
