PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide a variety of technical engineering, project management, programmatic and customer service functions up to and including the advanced level pertaining to planning, design, contract administration, construction inspection, program administration and implementation, and related matters for sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water, transportation, and parks systems. This position is distinct from the higher-level Civil Engineer position due to the relatively lesser breadth and complexity of projects and programs typically assigned, as well as the Senior Associate not being required to hold a Professional Engineer License and the resulting need for the Senior Associate’s engineering work products to be overseen and reviewed by a licensed professional engineer. The Senior Associate is entrusted with greater complexity of work assignments and there is a substantially greater reliance on the Senior’s experience, higher quality work product, judgement, and substantially greater ability for independent decision-making relative the entry level Associate position.
