The starting pay rate and selection into a part-time Golf Course Attendant position, at level I or level II will depend upon available vacancies, as well as applicant qualifications and experience. The starting pay rate for a Golf Course Attendant II is $16.97 Hourly.
This is part-time routine work performing minor maintenance on electric golf cars and pull carts; retrieving golf balls used on the driving range of a municipal golf course; assisting in the scheduling of players; assigning golfers to the starting tee; providing for the orderly and efficient play on the course; occasionally collecting fees in the absence of a designated collector; and patrolling the golf course to identify and report maintenance issues and regulation compliance concerns to a designated supervisor. In the level II position, work may include determining and implementing next steps to address maintenance issues and regulation compliance concerns; fee collection; maintenance of fee ledgers; preparing course condition reports and recommending enhancements; stocking and pricing merchandise; and serving in a public relations role to receive customer complaints, provide resolution, or escalate to a designated supervisor, as indicated by policy. Work hours vary and will include weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.

$15.53 - $22.45 Hourly

To Qualify


Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:
  • Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Possess and continue to maintain a valid Driver License.
  • Have some experience meeting with and serving the public.
  • Have some knowledge of golf rules, course regulations and proper golf etiquette.
  • Be able to understand and carry out oral instructions.
  • Be able to conduct verbal communication clearly and concisely.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Applicants considered for the level II position must also be able to handle cash and credit card transactions and to keep associated records.
    Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:
  • Have some mechanical ability and knowledge of tools used for minor servicing of electric golf cars.
  • Are able to exercise sound judgment, tact and excellent customer service while interacting with players and co-workers.
  • Preferably, applicants considered for the level II position have some experience handling cash and credit card transactions; possess an in-depth knowledge of game rules and maintenance standards; and have some customer service and supervisory experience.
