The City of Springfield is looking for an Executive Secretary for our Risk Management department! Do you thrive with attention to detail and enjoy working in the insurance industry? Are you looking for a healthy work/life balance with stability? This is the role for you!
What you’ll do:
Perform a variety of support activities and interact with all City Departments.
Work with insurance brokers, actuaries, outside counsel, and consultants.
Assist with insurance and bond placement, maintaining insurable asset lists, and provide certificates of insurance.
Maintain and process contracts, legal documents, and insurance policies.
Maintain risk management software databases and disaster preparedness plans.
What you’ll need:
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail.
An ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
At least three years of responsible administrative office work.
Licensing/Certification
Obtain Notary certification within the probationary period depending on departmental assignment.
AND
Assignment to some departments requires incumbent to possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License and, in some cases, provide own vehicle for on-the-job transportation purposes.
PREFERRED
Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) is desirable.
