City of Shreveport is Hiring a Recreation Specialist Near SPAR Recreation, LA
2. Plans or assists in planning and implementing recreational, athletic, arts, crafts, and other regular or special programs.
3. Maintains order and discipline.
4. Supervises and may provide technical instructions in arts, crafts, games, and other activities.
5. Initiates requests for recreation and athletic games and equipment, and for maintenance and repair work.
6. Submits various reports.
7. May be assigned to oversee the continuation of special programs.
8. Performs other duties as directed or required.
3. Organizational ability to plan, formulate and execute policies and programs.
4. Ability to maintain harmony among workers and patrons; verbal facility; and flexibility to adjust to changing conditions.
5. Requires valid driver's license at time of employment
2. Occasional exposure to wet/humid environments in the pool and locker room area
4. Constant standing, walking, and climbing in a multi-level facility to observe recreation center activity for safety and hazards
2. Work is performed in a public recreation facility where high volume and noise can be a distraction.
3. Will have frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Travel:
Position requires frequent local travel.

Any higher class or level for which eligible and qualified.
