To do all work necessary and required to maintain the entire sports complex, which includes the complex being clean and the fields in good condition. Load dirt and construction materials. Dig and backfill ditches by hand. Weed eat, mow, blow, rake, shovel, etc., the fields, when needed. Work as a member of the park maintenance crew, operating power mowers and other park maintenance equipment. Mows and maintains park and open space areas such as baseball and soccer fields; maintains sprinkler systems and assists in the repair and installation of sprinkler lines and heads. Clean and maintain grounds. Set up equipment and materials for special events. Perform other duties as assigned and/or required.
High school or GED; Valid AR Driver’s License required. The employee must constantly lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and occasionally may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Ability to maintain accurate records, type and enter data accurately. Ability to effectively communicate on a one-on-one basis with others. Ability to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with other employees, department officials and the public. Ability to report to work each scheduled day, and on time.

This position is part time and is not eligible for the City of Sherwood benefits package.
