Job Description

The City of Pueblo wants to hire you as a Radio Technician II! This full-time position offers you a variety of benefits that provide a great work/life balance, a rewarding work environment, and a competitive annual salary of $53,477.64 - $73,058.04! As a Radio Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, programming, repairing, tuning, and maintaining the city’s communication equipment and associated network infrastructure. You will also be responsible for coordinating, installing, splicing, terminating, and maintaining the fiber optic cabling for the City’s network infrastructure. You will support and maintain the city owned microwave communications infrastructure as well as radio tower sites. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

In addition to the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above, this position requires the following:

• An associate degree from an accredited college or university with one (1) year of directly related professional experience in information technology networking or radio operations. 

• A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
  • License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification 
  • During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license

 
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications at the time of application, within one (1) year of appointment the employee must:

• Obtain a valid Federal Communications Commission General Class Radio Telephone License.
