The Street Operations Traffic Signal Electrician maintains the operations of the City’s traffic signal system. This is a journeyman licensed Electrician job to install, program, update, maintain and repair traffic signals, electronic signs and street lighting. Duties also include monitoring and repairing communication fiber optics system, video surveillance and detection system, and pumps, generators and transformers.

Hiring range for this position is $31.41 an hour ($65,332.80 a year) to $32.84 an hour ($68,307.20 a year).

Applicants who do not hold a class A CDL will receive training onsite and have 6 months to get their Class A CDL. 

The job requires a State of Idaho Journeyman Electrical License.

The job requires the ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative working relationship with elected and appointed officials, other City employees, other organizations, and the general public.
