Deputy City Clerk
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Deputy City Clerk. The Deputy City Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining official records and ensuring the efficient operation of the city's administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain official city records, documents, and archives
- Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and accurately record minutes
- Assist in legal administrative tasks such as drafting legal documents
- Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Provide clerical support to various departments within the city government
- Handle cash transactions and maintain financial records
- Interact with the public, providing excellent customer service
- Assist in litigation support activities as needed
Experience:
- Proven experience in office administration or related field
- Proficiency in word processing software and data entry
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle clerical duties efficiently and accurately
- Experience in cash handling is preferred
