Police Officers must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Your degree does not need to be in criminal justice in order to be a successful Police Officer ! Successful completion of the MCOLES written and physical agility tests is also required, or the ability to become MCOLES certified.
Need to go through the police academy? If you successfully complete the hiring process, the City of Novi will provide sponsorship for your enrollment.
Compensation & Benefits : $63,168 starting pay with top-out pay at $91,953 after four years. The City of Novi accepts lateral hires for Police Officers with prior experience.

Conditional Employment Requirements : All offers of employment are contingent upon passing a background investigation, a physical examination and a drug screen (we test for marijuana), and a psychological exam. Please be aware that the pre-employment process can take up to a month to complete.
