ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

  • Pay Considerations –The salary range for the position is $94,869.29 - $154,275.75 Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience but will not exceed the 1/3 of the range.
  • Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36 hour work week)Monday through Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm or 8:00am to 6:00pm

THE ROLE
Plans, organizes, supervises and performs administrative work establishing and monitoring the City’s budget, and performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration, accounting, or finance or closely related and
  • Five or more years of experience in budgeting, accounting, financial analysis and/or auditing in a governmental context three of which were at a supervisory level or above. Master’s Degree in business or public administration is desirable.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Equivalency: May substitute a combination of equivalent education and experience. The city assesses 1 year of fulltime experience as equivalent to one year of education.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within the required time frame.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
  • The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume -The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
  • Oral Board Interview - (Weighted 100%): To be determined.
  • Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
