Job Title: Director of Individual Giving

FLSA: Full-Time Exempt

Hiring Range: $72,333-$90,391

The Lone Tree Arts Center is looking for an experienced, fundraising professional to join its strong External Relations team. Located in one of the fastest-growing areas in the state, the Lone Tree Arts Center has built a reputation for artistic excellence, commitment to outstanding customer service, and diverse programming. This position will play a pivotal role in the Center’s continued growth.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Associate Executive Director for External Relations, the Director of Individual Giving is responsible for executing a fundraising plan designed to engage individual donors at the Lone Tree Arts Center, a municipally owned and operated multidisciplinary arts center that includes a 500-seat proscenium theatre; a 200-seat event hall; and a 300-seat outdoor amphitheatre. The Director of Individual Giving develops relationships with individual donors to increase their sense of investment in the Center, oversees donor benefit administration, and plans and executes donor events.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: College degree required.

  • Work History: 7 - 10 years of demonstrated progressive fundraising experience in a mid- to large-sized non-profit organization required.

  • Work Experience: Must demonstrate experience in all facets of individual fundraising, including the creation and execution of an annual development plan; donor pipeline management (identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship); and planning of donor events. Knowledge and experience with the performing arts is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to establish and nurture strategic relationships with major donors, C-level corporate executives, and community and elected leaders.

  • Self-starter attitude with ability to work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to the organization’s team goals.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate tasks of competing priority.

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with external and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to navigate and effectively utilize donor database/CRM software.

  • Collaboratively create and execute an annual development plan to meet contributed income goals.

  • Manage all aspects of donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging to cultivate donors at all levels, with the goal of increasing individual donations.

  • Plan and execute multiple donor events each year focused on cultivation and stewardship.

  • Represent the Lone Tree Arts Center and its programs in meetings, phone conversations, and at events with individual donors and prospective donors.

  • Conduct research to identify potential major gift prospects, assessing capacity, interests, and connection to the Lone Tree Arts Center.

  • Clearly communicate with donors, both individually and in group settings, to share updates, discuss impact, and seek additional support.

  • Regularly attend weekend and evening events to meet with individual donors.
