The purpose of the class is to connect or disconnect utility services to customers. The class is responsible for responding to work orders, disconnecting or connecting service, providing information to customers, logs and reports, reading meters. The class works according to some procedures; decides how and when to do things under general supervision.
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience working outside performing general physical labor.
A general knowledge of computers is required including Microsoft Office.
Must be able to work with little supervision and there is considerable discretion to act independently.
Requires general knowledge of street locations throughout the City service area.

Weekend, holiday and after hours work may be required, as well as after-hours response and emergencies._
Requires a valid State of Florida driver license and satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment.
Special skill or equipment certification may be required.
