Salary/Wage Range: $72,810.71 - $92,128.78 ($35.01-$44.29/hour) dependent on qualifications.

The Le Sueur Police Department is seeking a full-time officer to join our team.
The LSPD is committed to community engagement and outreach, giving officers the opportunity to interact and participate in community and school events year-round. POST eligible candidates and lateral candidates are encouraged to apply.
Le Sueur Police Officers work 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift, with a 2-on, 2-off, and 5-on, 5-off schedule allowing a 5-day weekend off every other weekend.

Under direct supervision of the Police Captain, the Police Officer is responsible to preserve law and order, to protect life and property, enforce laws and ordinances in a manner which will command respect and confidence, and other functions as assigned or apparent.

Work Schedule:
Hours worked will be based on scheduled rotating shifts. Most shifts will be 8 to 12 hours in length and will take place any day of the week. Police Officers are also subject to call-in shifts when necessary. This position will require evening, weekend and holiday hours.

While performing the essential functions, this position may be exposed to all weather conditions, including extremes. There may also be daily exposure to fumes, energized equipment, potential hazards, illnesses, and irritants such as dust, dirt, and fumes. Activities that occur continuously, more than 7 hours, are: organizational skills and interpersonal skills. Activities that occur occasionally, 1 to 3 hours, are: analytical ability, creativity, time management, problem solving, verbal communication, written communication, concentration, and working with interruptions. This position frequently lifts or moves up to 100 pounds and infrequently lifts or moves up to 175 or more pounds. The noise level may vary from quiet to extremely loud.
