The City of Jonesboro is hiring for the positions of Part Time and Full Time Patrol Officers. Patrol Officers must be be able to work effectively in an often rapidly changing enviroment. Common duties associated with job description for Patrol Officers are and not limited to:
- Maintain a constant presence in the community through regular patrols to deter crime and provide quick help when needed.
- Secure crime scenes and protect evidence from tampering or loss.
- Attend public events as security to help ensure peaceful attendance.
- Help identify potential crime spots and activities which may result in criminal acts.
- Issue citations for traffic, criminal and ordinance violations.
- Apprehend those suspected of committing crimes.
- Write daily reports of activities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Military: 1 year (Preferred)
- Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- PTI Certification (Required)
