City of Jacksonville is Hiring a Seasonal- Summer Camp Director Near Jacksonville, FL

This position will oversee total operations of camp and deliver educational based summer camp activities at several locations. May serve as the Site Leader and correspond with parents as necessary. Work may require some outdoor activities. 
  • Mandatory Training: June 10, 2024
  • Program Dates: June 17, 2024- July 26, 2024
  • Operating Hours: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Oversee total operations of camp.
  • Ability to develop, train and implement quality developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Communicate with parents regarding camper registration.
  • Supervise and direct PT Camp Counselors.
  • Teaches prepared lesson to school-aged children.
  • Adjusts lesson to be age appropriate.
  • Sets up materials for activities.
  • Prepares and plans for upcoming lessons.
  • Performs related work as required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' related experience preferably as a coordinator or supervisor of a child care program.
  • Must pass background screening on a local, state and federal level as required by the State of Florida Children and Family Services.
  • Must successfully complete CPR and First Aid course which will be provided (date to be determined).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing 2-8 staff members.
