Description

Under the general direction of vehicle maintenance supervisors: assist with miscellaneous activities within the Vehicle Maintenance garage and Transportation building.

Examples of Duties

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist mechanics as needed
2. Shuttle vehicles.
3. Pick-up and deliver parts.
4. Clean vehicles inside and out.
5. General maintenance of building and grounds.
6. Assist with other activities as needed.

Typical Qualifications

Job Qualifications
1. Must 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
2. Can operate power equipment.
3. Dependable and self-motivated
4. Physical ability to lift/push/transport equipment and materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
5. Ability to periodically kneel/bend/stoop to accommodate different working positions.
6. Attention to detail

Working Conditions
1. Work includes outside working conditions with frequent exposure to sun, wind, rain, and extreme temperatures.
2. Work includes periodic exposure to fumes, dust, noise, moving objects, chemicals.
