City of Hampton is Hiring a 2024 Parks & Rec Summer Camp - Now Hiring Youth Program Leaders & Aides Near Hampton, VA

Are you looking for a summer job? Join the City of Hampton's Recreation Team for this year's exciting summer camp program. We are looking for passionate, upbeat and energetic individuals to assist with our annual summer camp program hosted at the various community and neighborhood centers throughout the City of Hampton. 2024 Summer Camp dates will be June 17 - August 23, 2024 and required training will be scheduled before camp begins. If you enjoy working with youth and are looking for an exciting opportunity this summer, then look no further! Returning summer staff are encouraged to apply, as well as those looking to start a new summer tradition! These positions are seasonal and non-exempt
Candidates will be selected for available positions at one of our various community/neighborhood centers based on qualifications listed below:Youth Program Aide - Requires high school graduation or successful completion of a GED. Experience working in the programmatic group care of children or adults is preferred.

Must be age 18 or older at time of application.
This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City’s current substance abuse policy.
Must successfully pass a background check related to the position prior to any offer of employment or promotion.

Youth Program Leader -Requires high school graduation or successful completion of a GED. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience in leading recreational activities.

Must be age 21 or older at the time of application.
