Performs administrative and supervisory work in directing the overall operations of the Fleet Maintenance Division. Manages the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of automotive and specialized equipment. Supervises employees and schedules day-to-day work activities to provide optimum efficiency and productivity. Position requires an advanced understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in assigned function or business area.

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field; supplemented by seven or more years’ experience administering and managing automotive and heavy equipment fleet operations and replacement programs, including at least one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. 

Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment. Must have Master Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. Must have a valid Florida CDL driver’s license and maintain satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
