The City of Geneva is seeking a skilled Water & Sewer Maintenance Worker to join our team in the Water and Wastewater Division of Public Works. This role is responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and stormwater collection systems.

Qualifications:
Successful applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. An Illinois Class “A” Commercial Drivers License is required to be acquired within six months of hire. A Class D Water Operator Certification through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency is required once on-the-job certification hours are met.
Special Requirement:
Employees must live within a 16-mile radius (straight-line distance) of the City within one year of employment.
Schedule:
This position works Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Additional overtime, particularly for emergency callback and snow removal, is required as necessary.
Salary:
This is an hourly, non-exempt position that starts at $30.39 per hour ($63,223 annually), dependent on qualifications.
