SUMMARY : The Water Utility Maintenance Operator is a seasonal (6 months) position with the City of Fort Collins Utilities Stormwater Maintenance Division and performs maintenance and repair on stormwater facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
Assisting Water Systems Operators in daily maintenance and repair tasks such as replacing water, wastewater, or storm water facilities;
fire hydrants; valves, manholes and storm inlets.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : This job has no supervisory responsibilities,

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or GED.
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports, service requests and complete work orders. Ability to speak effectively to internal or external customers and employees.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
Current Driver's License.
