City of Fishers is Hiring a Snow Plow Driver Near Fishers, IN
This is a seasonal, on-call position that will only be called to duty during City winter weather events. Shifts are 12 hours and will typically be either 9am-9pm or 9pm-9am. The City will provide the snow plow equipment - personal vehicles will not be used. If substantial snowfall or ice is expected, this additional staff will be placed on-call with as much advance notice as possible. Once committed to on-call status, drivers will be expected to be rested and ready to work their full shift if called upon. This position will typically be asked to plow subdivisions and parking lots.
- Plow snow during and after a snow event as needed
- Prepare roads for snow event as needed
- Valid Indiana driver's license (CDL not required);
- 3 years of experience as a licensed driver required;
- Safe driving record (driving records will be checked);
- Basic vehicle knowledge;
- Plowing experience preferred, but not required.
- Paid training will be provided which includes classroom presentation, video, and ride along as needed.
