City of Fairfield, CT is Hiring a SEASONAL SUMMER WORKERS Near Fairfield, CT

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Town of Fairfield Conservation Department is seeking paid summer workers. The positions are for a period of 8-10 weeks, starting June 3, 2024. Deadline for receipt of application is May 17, 2024. For additional information/questions: please call (203) 256-3071

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Clearing fallen trees
Repainting trail blazes
Trail maintenance such as mowing/weed whacking
Making and installing wood signs for Town open spaces
Planting trees/shrubs
Removing invasive species
Erosion control projects on trails
Trash removal

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of Town open spaces/trails is a plus
Must be self-motivated
Must be capable of working outdoors with and without direct supervision in all weather conditions
Experience with hand tools, mowing, basic carpentry, planting and yard work/brush clearing is desired

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Workers must be 18 years old
Must have a valid driver’s license

SCHEDULE

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

PAY RANGE

$18/hour
