Performs police patrols, investigation, traffic regulation, and related law enforcement activities.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Direct Supervisor: Police SergeantSupervisory Responsibility: Generally, none. May supervise part-time, seasonal and community service workers, as assigned.
Primary Work Location: Police Station. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places and with explosives; and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee drives a motor vehicle to travel to other locations on a frequent basis.
Employee may be exposed to Bloodborne Pathogens. Hepatitis B Vaccination is available.
*National Association of School Resource Officers ( NASRO) training preferred but not required.
