The City of Charleston is looking for a Truck Driver!

Summary: Drives and operates dump truck and/or other designated vehicle to transport various materials and supplies.
Work Hours: This position will be expected to work a schedule established by the Department Head. Typical hours will be 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. It is also expected this position will work other hours including nights, weekends and/or holidays as necessary or requested in order to fulfill the City's vision and/or to accomplish departmental goals. Mandatory overtime may be required during certain occasions including, but not limited to times of snow/ice removal.

Essential Duties: Include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Picks up and transports rock, gravel, dirt, stone, sand blacktop and other materials and supplies.
Dumps rock, gravel, dirt, stone, sand blacktop and other materials and supplies at job site and/or other designated location.
Plows snow and ice, and dispenses road salt and/or other snow/ice treating materials.
Drives and operates leaf collection truck.
Performs manual labor as needed and/or requested.
Experience: Previous experience performing similar duties desired.
License(s)/Certification(s): Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required. Endorsements are preferred, but not required.
Requires one year driving a commercial vehicle or closely related experience.
