City Of Charleston is Hiring a Construction Foreman - $3,000 BONUS Near Charleston, SC
$1,500 ON FIRST CHECK AND $1,500 AFTER 120-DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Supervises the work of the crews by visiting the worksites to ensure that the work is being completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Assigns daily work orders to the crew.
- Plans and estimates the materials and hours needed to complete jobs.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Interprets City policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Inspects work areas to determine type of work required and materials and equipment to be used.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Prepares required reports.
- May operate motor equipment such as tractors, front-end loaders and dump trucks.
- Performs activities of workers supervised.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) and 2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid SC Commercial Driver’s License – Class B.
