The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our Solid Waste Division as a Utility Services Representative. The position is scheduled to work a rotational schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Who we are
Chandler Solid Waste Services provides weekly refuse and recycle collection for 78,000 residences. Solid Waste staff operates the City’s Recycling Solid Waste Collection Center (RSWCC) including Household Hazardous Waste collection, oversees the collection contract, and maintains the closed landfill.
 
Who we are looking for
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to provide customer service and assistance to residents and public accounts for utility and solid waste services including conferring with contractors; assisting with contract administration and inputting data entries. Support technical staff by 2-way radio, phone, scheduling online web services, and performing closing tasks for end of day operations and contractual obligations.

Minimum qualifications
• A High School Diploma or GED; and
• 1 year of general clerical and customer service experience; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
 
Desired qualifications
• Prior experience with general clerical duties;
• Prior experience scheduling services;
• Prior experience working with multiple systems.
 
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
