The City of Camas, Washington is testing for positions with the Camas-Washougal Fire Department. These positions are represented by International Association of Firefighters, Local #2444. Starting Salary is $8,873/monthly ($4,436.50/bi-monthly, $42.96/hourly). Salary upon probation completion: Paramedic - $9,897/monthly ($4,948.50/bi-monthly, $47.92/hourly.)The following criteria must be met, without exception, to apply for a lateral position. 1. Applicants must have worked as a paid firefighter/paramedic for a minimum of 6,000 hours and successfully completed a probationary period. 
2. Applicants must possess the following certificates: IFSAC Firefighter 1 and 2, IFSAC Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Operations (or equivalent).
3. All applicants must possess valid driver’s license.
4. Applicants must possess the following valid certificates: NREMT-P or Washington State Paramedic Certification**, ACLS or eACLS; PALS. 

**Candidates who do not possess a current WA State paramedic certification are required by the State of Washington to have graduated from a CAAHEP accredited paramedic course to receive reciprocity. Check your CAAHEP accreditation by calling 727-210-2350 or emailing mail@caahep.org. Attach copy of paramedic course completion certificate to application packet.

Applicants MUST attach copies of current, non-expired, valid certifications to their application to be eligible for consideration. Finalists will undergo an extensive background check, physical examination, psychological screening and drug screen prior to final hire. Applicants must be 21 years of age at time of hiring.
 TESTING SCHEDULE:

• Thursday and Friday, May 24th & 25th – 8am – OPTIONAL practice sessions for physical agility testing at Camas Fire Station 42 (4321 NW Parker Street, Camas)
• Saturday, June 1st – 8am – REQUIRED written and physical agility testing specific to duties. Candidates must bring $20 testing fee to the test on this date
• Monday June 3rd & Tuesday June 4 – Times TBD – Oral Board Interviews
