Job Summary
Under general supervision to serve as an assistant and resource to teachers in the supervision, teaching, observation, and training of students; including those students with a wide variety of physical limitations or special needs who may require specialized health care; to assist and engage in the preparation and assembling of teaching materials, and to do related work as required. Paraeducators are trained support staff who work in the classroom with the teacher in their role to increase learning potential and provide greater opportunities for student growth and achievement. The Paraeducator is to support and enrich the classroom and/or home environment with the goal of increased student learning. All employees are expected to follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements / Qualifications
Associate of Arts Degree, or 48 semester hours or equivalent of college training or district approved staff development with a cumulative grade point average of no less than 2.0 for graded classes, or Meeting the qualifications as delineated by the "Every Student Succeeds Act" (ESSA) Legislation
