- Crafts, executes, and leads the web strategy for the City of Boise
- Draws on a digital communication, public relations, and marketing background to communicate, inform and connect various audiences by using web technology
- Manages the content management system environment in partnership with Information Technology
- Collaborates with all departments to create web experiences to support business goals while ensuring user-centric design and content
- Performs all work under general supervision

Establishes and enforces web policies and standards and recommends new web tools and approaches to support the city's strategic objectives. (40%)
Oversees web page development. Improves internal standards and processes to promote increased quality, consistency and user-centric design and content. Maintains monitoring systems for key web functions. Develops and maintains site governance standards. Develops and maintains reports of web analytics and success metrics. Manages web vendor contracts, onboarding, and vendor management. Ensures support for social media initiatives on the external website. Ensures support for the publication of video, slideshow, and photographic content on the external website. Manages and enforces global navigation and overall site taxonomy. Partners with the Creative Services team to maintain the official, branded city web templates. (30%)
Serves as the visionary architect/manager and advocate of enterprise-wide web strategy and development and leads the integration of web strategies across the city. Provides leadership and direction in planning, developing, and maintaining the city website and mobile web presence. Ensures compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility requirements for public agencies. Oversees the development of web documentation, tutorials, and training materials. Communicates regularly with city leaders and website administrators. (20%)

Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Computer Science or related field, and
- 3 years of experience in web strategy management, including use of content management systems and creation of web content
